I was there, had just turned 16 and worked the concession stand. That was my way to see concerts back then. When Jim Morison was snaked through the crowd he lost his wallet.I turned it into him after the show. Got a kiss from him and all the band members and his autograph. I didn't have it dated so I am asking anyone who was in the room after the concert or has any memory of this to text a comment. What a thrill, kissed by Jim Morrison!!
ARCHIVED TOUR DATE
On March 1, 1969, at the Dinner Key Auditorium in the Coconut Grove neighborhood of Miami, The Doors gave the most controversial performance of their career, one that nearly "derailed the band".[Allmusic.com] The auditorium was a converted seaplane hangar that had no air conditioning on that hot night, and the seats had been removed by the promoter in order to boost ticket sales.
