I write a monthly column for a newspaper of a city close to Los Angeles. I am working on a story about the October 1967 concert the Doors did at California State University Los Angeles. I am trying to get in contact with fans who actually attended the concert. I you were there I would love to ask a few questions. (my email address is email@example.com). Thanks, Gary F.
i don't know if this has been discussed here, but there is a book out buy frank liciandro called "jim morrison friends gathered together".
the book is a collection of conversations that frank liciandro had with friends and close colleagues of iim morrison. this book answers the question that is often asked: "what was he really like?" who better to answer this question and a whole lot more than the people who really knew him. every conversation is interesting to read.
if you are interested in getting a glimpse into who jim morrison really was, you have to read this book. i think it's the best book about jim i've read.
Jim Morrison would have been 70 years old today.
I can’t even begin to explain the sheer brilliance of Jim Morrison that has influenced my life. Still to this day I have a hard time coping with the fact that he is no longer a part of our world. Jim Morrison was beyond intelligent, educated, witty, and eloquent. He knew and understood so much about life and I don’t think there is anything more admirable in any human being. There is never a day where I don’t listen to his voice or think of everything he has left for us to remember — his music, his poetry, his philosophy, his charm. Jim Morrison will live on forever. He will always be a huge part of my life.

Beheads the angels you destroy
Angels fight, angels cry
Angels dance and angels die.”
