Hello everyone, i just joined up here.
@mrmohs...I like how you said "Jim left, the Doors closed." It sums it all up very well!
Ah yes Scream At times it was wild ride
and all too brief! I mean Jim left and
the Doors closed. So it was hard through
the seventies keeping the Doors open.
The music was changing. All that disco crap &
the drugs were becoming more violent & expensive.
Money & the Me generation was dawning.
The cool ones were gone.
Ugghh. What’s a poor rocknroll teen to do ?
For me I looked for the spirit of Jim.
Sometimes I found it in Patti Smiths poetry,
kept up with Rays works, and I’ll never forget
when American Prayer came out at the end.
That was salve for a sore soul.
Incredible MOHs. Must have been great to be on the blue bus as it just started rolling!
well thanks harps !
you been known to bring a feast to the table yourself
for me I have 47 years of being a Doors fan
and I can almost guarantee
not a day as gone by
that I haven’t thought of those open Doors
which is really remarkable
There been good times and bad times
I’m not even sure I completely understand it
I just know that Jim inspired me
to be the reading fool I am
from the get go-- 1969
may it always remain
a feast of friends

That's an excellent question harps!
It would be great as a general question
if people would tell
what open the doors for them
I know- I did
& no one even asked Ha Ha
Hi, Green Lizard Queen...just checked back in myself after a few weeks hiatus...Welcome...The Doors are always open. Tell us a little bit about how you became a Doors fan. I'm always interested in knowing what was that one defining moment that brings people to the ultimate Doors experience.
you came in the right Door
there may be no exit
