Robby Krieger and John Densmore Play Surprise Set at LACMA

Robby and John surprised guests at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art last month with a surprise set that included Doors favorites "People Are Strange", "Love Me Two Times", "Spanish Caravan" and "Riders on the Storm".

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) hosted a screening Mr. Mojo Risin’: The Making of L.A. Woman on December 5, 2013 with very special guests, John Densmore and Robby Krieger

Mr. Mojo Risin: The Making of L.A. Woman, looks at the creation of The Doors' sixth album. Mr. Mojo Risin’ offers a detailed perspective of the intense recording sessions that produced one of the Doors most memorable collections, a album that included the songs “Love Her Madly” and “Riders on the Storm.” Also part of the screening are clips of the Doors in performance.

To commemorate the screening of the documentary—on an evening three days before Jim Morrison’s birthday — the two surviving members of the Doors, guitarist Robby Krieger and drummer John Densmore, made a rare joint appearance at the Bing to discuss the band’s legacy and their own careers.
