New member here, in Iowa USA... near the Omaha, Nebraska area. Did the Doors ever play Omaha? I just have to say that I've become re-acquainted with the Doors music (again). They are really the only band who's music and lyrics made me as a listener think about the message, not just the music. Jim was an entertainer and an educator. He could not have done what he did without Ray, Robbie and John, but especially Ray. They were able to "touch me" as no band has before or since. Peace to all.

Crazy, wicked, cool review of the 2010 show in Omaha. Thank you for the link! I was not far away, more then seven miles, but somehow missed this one. Oh how I wish I had been there now! I do see that the Doors played in Des Moines once, that's cool.

When I was living in San Francisco during the mid 90's (I think) I passed through Jackpot, Nevada. Now, Jackpot is no South Lake Tahoe, Reno or Las Vegas... it is a small town of only 1195 people today. Yet, almost as an illusion, a mirage in the desert, as I approached the town I saw a casino marquee with the words "The New Doors". I think my jaw dropped and I rubbed my eyes. There it was. And I passed through... again, I can only wish I had taken the time to stop and partake in the ancient rituals. Sigh.
