I see Jim on the bicycle in Venice Beach, I see John Doe from X (Ray produced their first album and they did a fine cover of Soul Kitchen). It's odd to me, on that subject, that the punks of the late 70s and early 80s despised what The Doors seemed to stand for. In retrospect, I would suggest that Jim was the quintessential punk and there is irony in that, to me. It's just that the industry tried to make The Doors fit into a tidy little package... and Jim, the punk (and I mean that in a good way), was always and forever showing them the paradigm shift (without use of the clutch). Brilliant video and makes me nostalgic.
