I love some of the new Bruce Botnick mixes on the 40th anniversary versions, but does anyone else think The Changeling is a little bit broken? The background echo of Jim wasn't there in the original version, and the audio track of the instruments is turned down and Jim's voice is a bit louder and clearer. I do like the ending more with the echo, I don't wanna nit pick, but does anyone else agree with this?

ps. The Doors' music has changed my life, and I really would like to say thanks to Ray, John, Robby & Jim for the life changing inspiration.

That's the case with a lot of the remixes. Jim's voice is louder and more clearer, but unfortunately the instruments are toned down to much. If you don't already have it, and can find it somewhere I recommend you buy the Original 1997 box set. To me that sounds the best. Both Jim's voice and the music are very clear and crisp.

P.S. The Doors changed my life too...I don't think anyone who's a Doors fan can say that they haven't had some type of impact on their life.
