Hey, is there anybody out there I can talk to about the Doors? I don't know if this sounds kind of strange, but there's no one that I feel comfortable talking about them with. I guess it's because I feel very protective of them. They are very sacred to me, and I don't want to talk to just anybody about I the only one who feels this way? I am very protective of the Doors.....If you don't know what you're talking about, then I would prefer you don't offer any opinions....I get quite a few people, saying ohhhh, I love the Doors, but it's someone who has only heard one or two songs that they used to play on the radio, and not the real Doors....

I certainly understand about being protective
and difficult about relating Doors music to others
Doors can be very personal experience
and alone we spirit on.

I ran with with Jim in the day
liked to think of myself
as the Phoenix version of Sugarman

collected all the historical news articles
and endlessly promoted doors music
so I'll discuss the spirit of the Doors
from my perspective

but times change-- I've changed
gotta see me change
so now I'm just an old blues man
i think
you understand

I can relate; The Doors and Soft Machine are two bands I've listened to since I began learning to speak. Drop me a message if you like, there are very few fans of both groups (The Doors in particular) where I live, and those who do - much like you say - are limited in their knowledge and depth of understanding. It would be wonderful to correspond
