here queen...the plaque...i took this photo
Would SO MUCH to visit all them places in U.S.
It only tkas 10 hours flight over, easy bit!
Maybe I just take closer approach to Paris, Pere Lachaise which I have visited already so many times and the street where Mr. Morrison lived.
I can recommend Pere Lachaise Cemetary (and Paris) to all.
ill tell you where we went
first to venice beach (the mural of jim was the 1st thing i laid eyes on!!!) and saw the venice canals(we parked on venice canal south )
then alta cinega and the whiskey and then barneys beanery and then by the offices (the doors old office building off santa monica blvd i think...near alta cinega
we did the canyon country store (laurel canyon) (the place where the creatures meet) and across the street next to a laundry store is the love street house(the one with the bell on the top) where jim and pam lived...i touched the front door...lol
i think that was about it...figure out what doors spots are important to YOU and go see them...
this has no parallel but ill throw it in ...i was marilyn mansons boss in college brian(his birth name and the name i know him by) in real life as a real person is quiet shy reads a lot like jim did and is very intelligent...and a good writer..as jim was...those kinda people are like that...thats why they are talented and become household names...our names will never be known like theirs were...to know them in real life is a treat...to watch them transform into a stage persona and perform is amazing BUT you always know what they are really like IF you are lucky enough to have met them and known them before their fame...thats the key..and it happens by chance...just lucky i guess...it makes for good conversation...LOL
Thanks Nancy. As I mentioned we live in Alexandria, Virginia fairly close to where Jim lived when his father was working at the Pentagon. Actually know a couple of guys that went to high school with him and hung out with him on a regular basis. They say that Jim was actually quiet and reserved in high school. Very smart but no one had any idea that he would become the lizard king. Interesting to talk with someone who actually knew him.
yes it was. when i went we basically knew what we wanted to see and just mapquested the places on the gps and went...you will love it
Nancy..was this taken at Barney's? All of the pics that you posted are great. My wife and I plan on taking the tours that Ray outlined this spring. We are from Boston but saw him and Robbie several times at the Birchmere in Alexandria, Virginia where we now live. Thanks for all the postings.
