Maybe the notes below can give a little information:

Fri. Sept. 22nd, 1967:
(Murray the K in New York - WPIX-TV, NYC)

Color television show filmed in New York City, titled 'Murray the K In New York'. First broadcast on September 22nd, the show is later rebroadcast on October 9th and November 4th on WPIX Television, New York. Two songs are incorporated into this broadcast. For the first song, Jim records a live vocal of 'People Are Strange' over pre-recorded music, a technical achievement for the time as the vocals are mixed to the music without the safety of post production editing. It takes multiple shots before Jim is captured without mistakes. The second song, 'Light My Fire' is not performed live, but features The Doors acting in a scripted 'Secret Agent'-type scenario that includes 'The K Flock' headed by Jackie the K. Outtake footage from Battery Park is known to exist, and includes The Doors multiple takes of 'People Are Strange' and more.

Never seen that one. Thanks for sharing. Did a little googling and found it was filmed in Malibu.
