Dave, one question. Are you planning to update the new section "Legacy Show Archive" with more photos ? That is absolutely great what you have dones so far , including photos for Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Feb 17th of 1968. Also for New Orleans 1970 , Detroit May 1970 and the Waiting for the sun recording sessions. That is a great move from the management and i hope you will keep them coming

I also saw that someone has edited my initial post . The pictures from Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum are indeed from the 17th of February 1968 and not from November .

@lizardkingteo - Posts that are made inside of LIVE events will also show up on the Community wall.

  • Also - if you are interested in particular shows you can "Add it to my Shows" and you will get a heads up when new stuff is posted.
  • AND, I encourage you to "follow" Dave - among others - to be notified when those folks make posts. - Hit the (+) icon next to Dave's profile picture to follow.
  • The Community Wall lists stuff similar to facebook, in that the most active items rise to the top. When you log in to the site, head over to your dashboard to see what new content has been posgted since you last logged in.

Dave , one more question. How will we know when new photos are posted on the Live section ? Are you going to post them in the community section ? I suggest that you could insert a notification banner ( something like the word "New") on top of each venue title or ( the date ) when new photos have been added . Something to tell us that this material is unread. Then when we click on the concert and have a look at the new updates , the "new" icon could dissapear.

Just a small suggestion to help us find updated news or unread/unseen material so far

@Deckard. It definitely wasn't just me and Jac. So many people put a ton of time into the app. I just did what Jac asked me to do. I can't wait to see the final product. "Great time to be a Doors fan." I couldn't have said it any better myself! ;-)

@dave wow, that's amazing that the app is in addition to this site, it's a great time to be a doors fan, can't wait to see (and especially hear) what Jac and you dug up!

@Deckard. Jac's upcoming Doors App is a totally different project than the Doors official site. I had the honor of working with Jac on this, and it will be truly amazing. Until it is released I can't really say much though. Sorry! I will default to whatever Jac has said. One thing I will say is that it will be a virtual treasure trove of Doors multi-media and information. Fans will love it. Just like this site, there isn't anything around like it.

This might seem like an silly question Dave, but Jac Holzman was recently talking (in mojo magazine i believe) about a new "app" for the doors, am I to assume that this amazing website overhaul is what he meant? The website certainly functions like an app but is technically not an "app"...this is what he meant though right?

@lizardkingteo, we learned our lessons in 10+ years of running The Doors online forum. I know I did. Plus the guys who implemented this site really know their stuff. This site will be about the Doors 24/7, 365 days per year. I am truly excited about the possibilities.

I couldnt AGREE more . Thank you very much . Hope this community wont end up like the previous official board where some people where discussing about all the other subjects except for the doors , but to be a place of contribution and continuation of the doors legacy. Thats what boards should be like .

Thanks again
