The answer to the question: What was the title of the very first book published about the Doors is "Jim Morrison and the Doors" (c) 1969 by Mike Jahn. "The Lords/ Notes on Vision" and "The New Creatures" were self published by Morrison in that same year, but those were books written by Morrison, and not about him. The book that I am referring to was an unauthorized publication by Jahn, a rock critic for"The New York Times" and "Ingenue" magazine at the time and was an extended review of the Doors performance at the Fillmore East in New York. Being unauthorized, it was of course never reprinted, and copies are extremely scarce. The one copy that I found on EBay...gone!

Well, if they're available on Amazon for that price, that's a bargain indeed. Sadly, due to my financial situation, I've had to put my copy up on EBay.

I saw a few copies on sale at Amazon. They are used, but they had one for $17, plus shipping.
